Hey NEPA friends! Spring is in the air, and you know what that means? Cherry Blossom Festival season! And in 2025, Wilkes-Barre and West Pittston are gearing up for some fantastic festivals you won’t want to miss. Let’s jump right in!
First up, mark your calendars for The City of Wilkes-Barre’s Annual Cherry Blossom Festival! Get ready for a weekend of fun on Saturday, April 26th, and Sunday, April 27th, 2025, from 11 AM to 7 PM each day.
Rain or shine, this annual event is happening at Kirby Park, Wilkes-Barre! We’re talking about 50+ food and retail vendors, so you can shop ’til you drop and eat ’til you’re stuffed. Plus, there will be amusement rides and games for the whole family, and live entertainment to keep the good vibes flowing. It’s the perfect way to spend an NEPA spring weekend!
If you’re feeling especially energetic, lace up your running shoes for the Wyoming Valley Striders 50th Annual Cherry Blossom 5 Mile Run on Sunday, April 27th, 2025! This is a great way to enjoy the beautiful scenery while getting some exercise. The race will be held in Kirby Park, Wilkes-Barre, PA, so plan your trip accordingly.
Now, let’s hop over to West Pittston! The 54th Annual West Pittston Cherry Blossom Festival is expected to blossom on May 3rd and 4th, 2025. Held along Susquehanna Ave, West Pittston, Pennsylvania, this festival is a local favorite.

The festivities kick off on Saturday with a parade at 11 AM, followed by vendors and entertainment running until late. On Sunday, the fun continues from 6 PM until close. This is a great time to enjoy the beauty of the blossoms, watch the parade, and support local vendors.
