A Vision Born from a Lack of Something Different
KellySue’s journey began with a simple observation: a lack of salons that catered to those who craved a departure from the ordinary. Having worked for salons that “didn’t fit my vibe,” she envisioned a space that celebrated individuality.
Thus, Studio Wildflower blossomed, a 70s-themed haven radiating a laid-back, fun, and empowering atmosphere. As KellySue explains, “I wanted to create a place for all the people like me who felt we lacked somewhere different and vibey! So Studio Wildflower became that place!”
Shags, Sass, and a Whole Lot of Heart

Specializing in “shags, creative cuts, vivid hair color, and creative colors,” KellySue and her team craft show-stopping looks that let your inner wildflower shine.
But what truly sets Studio Wildflower apart is the experience. KellySue has cultivated a space where clients feel comfortable shedding inhibitions and expressing themselves authentically.
“Sometimes walking into a salon is intimidating and harsh,” KellySue acknowledges. “We are a mellow, hometown shop.”

KellySue’s dedication to empowerment extends far beyond the realm of hair color. She recounted a particularly touching story of a client who sought a transformation after leaving a difficult relationship.
“She came to me looking for empowerment and change,” KellySue shared. “We took her from what she was allowed to have to what she always wanted. She told me her entire story, we both cried. She left my salon with her head held so high and with a new confidence to start her new life.”
Witnessing such transformations is what fuels KellySue’s passion. “Wildflower has big big love,” she proclaims. “We are all heart and soul! We are a good time!”
“We don’t take things too seriously and we make each experience a beautiful one. On top of that, THE VIBE! You have to come see for yourself!”

Studio Wildflower’s impact extends beyond its walls. KellySue deeply values the connections she’s built with her clients. “What I love the most about being a small business owner in NEPA is the community!” she enthuses.
“I love the relationships I’ve gained since opening. The connections from people who have sat in my chair. There’s a wholesome and fulfilling feeling being able to feel like the people who walk through my door are people who care about me, and I them! It truly takes a village at any age and this area has shown me a lot of support.”
Looking to the future, KellySue aims “to grow” and “to empower more people through the art of expression.” She envisions Studio Wildflower becoming a well-known haven “for all the weird, fun, hippie, old school, new school, beautiful souls to come.”
